SG80 Series
SG80A CNC Cylinder Head Machine

Click the photo above to view the video.

The first SG80A was installed over 5 years ago and today there are many machines in service worldwide. Rottler has recently done a considerable amount of R&D and won a number of orders for this versatile, heavy duty cylinder head machine. We have upgraded our multi head fixture so that up to 5 heads can be loaded in one set up, which  is spotlighted in the movie above. We have also started manufacturing solid carbide valve guide reamers and this video shows these tools removing .010” (.25mm) from semi finished valve guides in Jenbacher natural gas cylinder heads. The new multi head fixture has a lower price so take a good look at this productive feature!

SG80M
Rottler introduced a manual version of the SG80A in 2010. This machine has manual down feed by steering wheel and a variable speed 5 HP (4kW) AC Spindle Motor with Vector Control for maximum torque at all speeds. The SG80M is a great alternative to the SG80A when price is important and CNC control is not essential.

Natural Gas Technical Seminar
Rottler is excited to announce that Clemens Ortgies of BU Drive, Germany will be presenting a technical seminar at the 2011 Rottler Open House about engine rebuilders converting diesel engines to various forms of natural gas. BU Drive has been working with Bayreuth University, Germany and testing three different size engines and will be presenting this information during his seminar. We all know of the many benefits of using natural gas so this seminar could be the opportunity that helps allow engine rebuilders to profit from this futuristic fuel.
